About Me

I learned to sew on my mother’s (now mine) featherweight, making doll clothes for my Betsy McCall. After college I made nearly all my children’s clothes Once my girls got “too big” for handsmocked dresses, I turned to my dolls. At least they didn’t complain about color, or style. They didn’t get their clothes dirty or outgrow them. I have designed many patterns, worked as a consultant for Fancywork and Fashion and taught classes in “Dress that Naked Doll” and a variety of needlework and garment construction techniques at Seminars and Sewing Expos.
