Inspirational Trip

Just got back from a wonderful trip to Seattle with my husband. The Rosalie Whyel Museum of Doll Art is sadly closing in March 2012.

Truly an inspirational visit to what will be a greatly missed resource for doll lovers, historians, costume designers.  Ms. Whyel presents the doll as more than a plaything, but more of a link to our past.  She broadens the scope of what a doll is and what it can represent.

There are not many of these treasures left but thankfully, the Museum is creating a DVD of the exhibits that will hopefully reach a broader audience.

Finally!

Have been working on my website for the last week or so. Should be up and running in the next few weeks.

Can't wait to get back into the sewing room. Have the fabrics laid out and some great ideas in my head just waiting for some time.

Talk to you all soon.

Off the Pot

Well, I just posted this link on Facebook, so I guess I should post more frequently.
We'll just see how many followers I get from that one.

A cold day

Always wondered why anyone would want to read anyone else's daily musings and swore I would never want to take the time to type up my thoughts for all the world to see, but here I am.

We shall see how this works and who, if anyone, would be interested in reading my writings.

Then again, it just might be just the encouragement I need to start creating again.

We shall see......
